Police probe Roosevelt break-in
Nassau police are investigating a burglary in which two thieves broke into a Roosevelt house and forced the resident into a bedroom while one of them stole items.
According to police, at 11:15 a.m., a woman, 24, was upstairs in her Underhill Avenue home when she heard noise on the first floor. She went downstairs and discovered two men armed with black handguns.
The first man, described as a male, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with a thin build, brown hair, and wearing tan shorts and a black shirt, forced the victim upstairs into a bedroom. The second man, described as a male, 6 feet, 7 inches tall, with a thin build, and wearing a baseball cap, a tan shirt and blue jeans, ransacked the home while his partner stayed with the victim, police said. The men then fled.
They took a cellphone, assorted jewelry and cash, police said. No one was injured.
