Nassau police are looking for an armed suspect who robbed a bank in Franklin Square on Tuesday morning.

Police said the male robber entered the Chase Bank at 654 Franklin Ave. and approached two female tellers, flashing a black handgun as he demanded cash.

After he was given an undisclosed amount of money, he fled on foot through the rear door heading north, police said. There were six employees and three customers in the bank at the time of the robbery, and no one was hurt, police said.

The suspect is described as being between 20 and 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, about 170 lbs., and wearing a long sleeve black- and blue-striped shirt, a Brooklyn Nets baseball hat and a blue bandanna that partially covered his face.

Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
