Westbound Sunrise Highway has been shut down during Friday's rush hour after a tow truck that was pulling a tractor-trailer hit a railroad overpass in Massapequa, Nassau police said.

The accident happened about 3:14 p.m. near the Sunrise Mall, where vehicles have been diverted as the roadway is cleared, police said.

No injuries were reported, police said.

A railroad inspector has been called to the scene to determine if the overpass has been damaged, police said.

The accident caused delays of as many as 17 minutes for at least one Long Island Rail Road train, the 3:05 p.m. train from Speonk to Jamaica, the commuter rail said.

Other details were not immediately available.
