Four swastikas and a racial slur, found carved into a tree on a junior high school campus in Lynbrook, will be investigated as a bias incident, Nassau police said.
The tree that was defaced is located in the back of the South Lynbrook Junior High School on Union Avenue. Detectives were alerted to the carvings by the principal at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, police said in a release.
