Three Bronx residents were arrested in New Hyde Park after police said they were spotted attempting to break into houses in several locations over an almost three-hour span Thursday morning.

Luis Toro, 21, of Jackson Avenue, Yesenia Torres, 16, of 205th Street, and Brianna Gonzales, 16, of 205th Street, were arrested by Nassau County police at 9:43 a.m. after a resident saw Toro walking around the side of her house on White Avenue and called 911.

Police said the trio was then seen "acting suspiciously" at another nearby home and were arrested, each charged with second-degree burglary, four counts of second-degree attempted burglary and four-degree conspiracy.

Police said the three entered a home on Joseph Street but did not steal anything before being caught. The incidents started at 7 a.m.

The three were all scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
