News 12 Long Island entertainment and features reporter Elisa DiStefano is a new mom.

DiStefano announced the birth of her son on her verified Facebook page Sunday night.

“He's here. We are in love. Welcome to the world Christian Thomas Cassara -- all 8 pounds of you! [T]hank you for all of the prayers & love.”

DiStefano is married to former Hofstra men's basketball coach and current TV and radio analyst Mo Cassara.

They tied the knot in August 2014 at at Oheka Castle.
