Suffolk County Clerk Judith Pascale, who officially retired before starting her new term earning $192,191 a year, is now also collecting an annual pension of $115,344, according to he state comptroller's office.

Pascale, 68, who began her third four-year term in January, was legally retired from the state pension system at the end of last year when her last term ended and was legally eligible to start her new term, collecting both her county salary and her pension because she is over age 65.

The state comptroller's office also said Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter's annual state pension amounts to $80,460.

Earlier, Carpenter had estimated she would collect about $77,000 when she retired last February as county treasurer to be appointed to the $103,000 a year town supervisor job, for which she is running in November.
