Rip current risk in effect for Tuesday
A high rip current risk is in effect for Long Island ocean beaches through Tuesday night, the National Weather Service said.
Surf heights from 4 to 6 feet are likely, the weather service said in a Tuesday morning statement, with no lightning risk for Long Island beaches.
On Tuesday, there's a 70 percent chance of rain after 9 p.m.
