State police said Sunday at least one person was killed in an early morning crash on the Southern State Parkway in North Valley Stream.

Eastbound traffic lanes near exit 14 at Fletcher Avenue were closed since about 6:45 a.m. Sunday as authorities and emergency medical teams responded to the crash site, according to reports. The highway reopened at about 11:20 a.m., police said.

The incident involved one car, a white sedan which appeared to have a driver and three passengers inside. Three of the occupants were placed into ambulances at the scene, according to an observer.

No other information was immediately available Sunday morning, state police said.
