Two pedestrians are in serious condition after being hit during a two-car crash in West Babylon on Tuesday evening.
Suffolk police said one car was headed north and the other car was going south about 7:28 p.m. when they collided on Little East Neck Road. First Precinct detectives are investigating whether one or both of the cars then struck the two pedestrians, a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman.
The male pedestrian was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, and the female was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Islip.
The male driver of a 2010 Honda Civic also was taken to Good Samaritan with nonlife-threatening injuries. The female driver of a 2002 Chevy Tahoe refused medical attention at the scene, police said.
