A hometown hero is getting a big welcome home Wednesday.

Marine Lance Cpl. William J. Fitzpatrick of Coram is returning Wednesday night from deployment in undisclosed locations.

He's the honoree at the third annual Hometown Hero's Welcome ceremony at MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma.

Fitzpatrick enlisted after graduating from Bellport High School. He's returning from his second deployment in less than 18 months.

He'll receive a citation from Islip Town Councilman Gene Parrington, who is himself a decorated Marine.
