Brentwood house fire injures 1, officials say
Residents of a Brentwood home escaped an early morning fire Wednesday, but one male was injured when he jumped from a window, officials said.
Other occupants of the house on Peterson Street got out safely on their own, but the male was taken to a hospital for treatment of cuts, according to Brentwood Assistant Fire Chief Michael Derbyshire
“We got the call at 3:20 a.m. and on arrival we saw one person putting out the fire at the front with a garden hose,” Derbyshire said.
He said firefighters searched the home and put out a fire they encountered in the attic.
The police Arson Squad is investigating the cause of the fire, a police spokeswoman said.
