A Center Moriches woman was stabbed to death by her son during a “domestic dispute” in her home, Suffolk County police said Saturday.

Joyce Skarka, 53, was pronounced dead in her Union Avenue house on Friday night, police said.

Her son, Christopher Storm Harrison, 26, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Authorities said they received a call at 9:41 p.m. Friday about a domestic dispute at Skarka’s home.

Neighbors of Harrison and Skarka said Saturday that they largely kept to themselves.

“We’d never see them out and about,” said Brian, a neighbor who declined to give his last name. Brian said he moved to the block in March and met Harrison a handful of times.

“He was very courteous,” the neighbor said.

Harrison, who was being held at the Seventh Precinct, is scheduled for arraignment Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
