A 19-year-old woman was arrested on a drunken driving charge after an early morning crash Friday in Babylon that resulted in a car fire, Suffolk County police said.

Police said Mariella Murphy of Babylon suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. Earlier, police said the driver had not been injured.

The crash occurred just before 2 a.m. on Deer Park Avenue near Mason Avenue.

Police said Murphy, driving a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo, crashed into the parked car -- and then her car erupted in flames. Local firefighters doused the fire.

Murphy was charged with DWI after a field sobriety test, police said. It was not immediately clear if additional charges were pending, since the legal drinking age in New York is 21 years old.
