A North Lindenhurst man was arrested Wednesday and charged with robbing a bank in his hometown Monday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Mark Brown, 35, of 921 North Ontario Ave., will be arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Central Islip on a charge of robbery in the third degree, police said.

Brown allegedly entered the Citibank branch at 120 Sunrise Hwy. in North Lindenhurst about 10 a.m. Monday and handed a threatening note to a teller. The employee gave the robber cash from a drawer and he fled on foot, police said at the time.

In a Wednesday news release, police did not provide the circumstances of Brown's arrest.
