One man suffered a stab wound to his arm when a fight broke out Tuesday in the parking lot at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, Suffolk County police said.

The victim was one of six people involved in the fight outside the Sears store at about 6:09 p.m., a police spokeswoman said.

The man was stabbed in the arm and taken by ambulance to Stony Brook University Medical Center. Police said the injury was not life-threatening.

The spokeswoman said the incident remains under investigation.
