The burglary at the church on Browns Lane occurred sometime between 7 p.m. on Nov. 25 and 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 26, police said. It was not immediately clear how the suspect -- or suspects -- entered the church building.
Police said the 3x5-inch crucifix was taken.
It was not clear if any other items were stolen.
Police said Hates Crimes Unit detectives are involved in the investigation. Anyone with information regarding the burglary is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
