A Hampton Bays woman stopped for driving with improper headlights Tuesday night faces drunken-driving charges, Southampton Town police said.

Frances A. Ruke, 58, was driving a 2007 Toyota on Montauk Highway around 10:27 p.m. when police pulled her over for not having the correct headlights, according to a report.

After stopping the car, police said Ruke appeared to be intoxicated.

She was arrested, submitted to a breath-analyzer test and held for arraignment in Southampton Justice Court, police said.

The report said she was "subsequently released on her own recognizance."

Police did not say when Ruke was due back in court or release the results of the breath-analyzer test.
