Islip Animal Shelter takes on animal fundraiser challenge honoring Betty White

Officials at the Town of Islip Animal Shelter on Thursday said the town is joining the Betty White Challenge, a social media campaign encouraging people to donate to their local shelters in honor of Betty White, an animal lover and advocate, who would have turned 100 on Jan. 17.
