A man who prosecutors said used a concealed camera to secretly videotape swimsuit models in a changing room during a Hamptons fashion show this summer will be arraigned Friday on a grand jury indictment in Suffolk County Court in Riverhead.

Robert L. Liguori, 51, of Mastic Beach, has been held in the Suffolk jail for more than a week on a charge of unlawful surveillance, a crime that took place July 12 during a swimwear fashion show at an Elm Street address in Southampton Village, the office of Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.

The arraignment had been scheduled for Thursday, but was postponed when Liguori requested a new attorney.

"An intern for the swimsuit fashion designer found Liguori's camera placed on a shelf pointed at the dressing area," Spota said in a news release.

Previously convicted in 2000 in federal court, stemming from his arrest in 1998 on charges of trafficking, transmitting and transporting child pornography, Liguori is a registered Level 2 sex offender, Spota said.

In a separate incident, Liguori was arrested Sept. 7 by Suffolk County police on charges of third-degree stalking, prosecutors said.

"According to the victim, a female clerk at a clothing store in Center Moriches, Liguori lifted up the dress he was wearing to expose his genitals to her, and then returned to the store twice the next day," Spota's office said.
