North Haven man who called 911 dozens of times faces harassment, obstruction charges, police say

A North Haven man who called 911 about 60 times in a 90-minute span faces charges of obstruction and harassment, Southampton Town police said.
Michael Ballard, 55, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on charges of obstructing governmental administration, two counts of aggravated harassment, resisting arrest and harassment, police said.
In a news release, police said Ballard called emergency phone lines about 60 times in an hour and a half, berating dispatchers and threatening police officers.
Ballard posted bail Sunday and was scheduled to return to Southampton Town Justice Court Monday, according to jail records.
