A 21-year-old Peconic man, whose license had already been suspended after being convicted of driving while ability impaired, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated early Sunday morning in Cutchogue, Southold Town Police said.

Rudy Javier also was charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He is scheduled for arraignment Monday.

Police said Javier was driving a 1998 Ford Mustang when he was stopped just before 7 a.m. Sunday on County Route 48 near Depot Lane in Cutchogue.
