A bicyclist was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car Wednesday night in Shirley, Suffolk County police said.

The identity of the bicyclist was not released.

Police said the cyclist was struck by a car turning from Surrey Circle onto the William Floyd Parkway at 9:10 p.m.

The bicyclist was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue. His condition was not known Thursday.

Police said the driver was not charged.

In an unrelated incident, police said a male bicyclist was struck by a car at about 10 p.m. Wednesday on Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park.

He was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow with non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges were filed against the driver, police said.
