An East Northport man who was arrested Sunday night and charged with operating a boat while drunk is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, Suffolk police said.

Michael Albinski, 27, was arrested a little after 11 p.m. during a routine patrol and charged with boating while intoxicated, authorities said.

Two officers from the police department's marine bureau were making rounds in the area of Ocean Bay Park Ferry Terminal in Ocean Bay Park when they noticed that a boat, a 1976 Sea Ray, didn't have the required navigation lights.

"The officers stopped the vessel and upon interviewing the operator, Michael Albinski, they noticed that he appeared to be intoxicated," police said in a news release.

Albinski was taken to shore and arrested, police said. He was also charged with operating a vessel after sunset without navigation lights displayed.
