Sagaponack house raided in drug dealing bust, police say
A Sagaponack home where, Southampton Town police say, drug dealing was taking place was raided by authorities Thursday and three people arrested.
Cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, including packaging material, were seized at 312 Sagg Rd. in the bust by the East End Drug Task Force, a coalition of at least 12 agencies, from village police to the federal Department of Homeland Security, authorities said. Authorities armed with a search warrant had been investigating drug deals at the house, police said.
Two residents, Oscar Reyes, 24, and Mateo Rojano, 26, were arrested.
Reyes was charged with three felonies, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, and three misdemeanors, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Rojano was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Also, Brian Pina, 19, of 1710 Bridgehampton Tpke., Bridgehampton, was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Reyes and Rojano were to be arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court, town police said. Pina was released on an appearance ticket, police said.
The task force is funded by the Suffolk County district attorney's office.
Arraignment and other details were not available Thursday afternoon.
