Seven people were charged with selling alcohol and tobacco to a minor, Suffolk County police said Monday night.

The seven arrested, employees at gas stations and a wine and liquor store -- were caught in sting operations at 50 establishments on Aug. 1 and Aug. 3.

Police charged Lei Zhou, 20, of Commack Wines & Liquors in Commack, Marco Parodi, 34, of a Gulf station on Veterans Memorial Highway in Islandia, Swarn Kaur, 58, of a Hess station on Nesconset Highway in Hauppauge, and Karma Sherpa, 34, of a Sunoco station on Maple Avenue in Hauppauge, with first degree unlawfully dealing with a minor. Police also charged Nazir Choudry, 63, of a Shell station on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge, Ibrahim Mohamed, 53, of a Sunoco station on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge, and Erkan Muhammet, 49, of a BP station on Veterans Memorial Highway in Islandia with second degree unlawfully dealing with a minor.

All arrestees were issued appearance tickets with future court appearances scheduled at the First District Court in Central Islip except for Muhammet, who was arraigned Saturday in Central Islip because he had an outstanding warrant, police said.
