Veronica Bripernauth, a Mastic woman who went missing Tuesday night, has been located, police said in a news release Wednesday night.

Bripernauth, 58, had left her home about 6 p.m. to drive to a Best Market in Shirley, police said. They had issued a Silver Alert on her because she has Alzheimer’s disease.

The Silver Alert program allows law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
