A Southampton man, who had fled a reported domestic incident, was arrested and charged with drunken driving Saturday night, police said.

State police said Israel Garcia, 34, was arrested after a traffic stop by a trooper on Quogue Avenue in Southampton at 10:50 p.m.

Garcia failed a field sobriety test, police said.

He also gave the trooper a fake North Carolina driver's license, state police said.

Garcia was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and driving while intoxicated.

Arraignment details were not immediately available.
