Suffolk cop car stuck in mud from heavy rains
This weekend's rain dampened one Suffolk County highway patrol officer's Sunday when his patrol car got stuck in the mud in Oakdale.
Police said the officer pulled off the eastbound Sunrise Highway just before 10 a.m. to do traffic monitoring and paperwork when his vehicle became stuck in deep mud along the highway.
The vehicle was towed out by the police emergency service unit, police said.
No one was injured, and there was no damage to the vehicle.
