A Suffolk County police officer from the Fifth Precinct and the driver of another vehicle suffered minor injuries early Sunday in Patchogue after a crash at an intersection, officials said.

The cruiser was traveling eastbound on Main Street about 1:30 a.m. when it collided with a vehicle making a left turn on Main while traveling south on Route 112, police said.

The officer and the driver of the other vehicle, whose identities were not released, were taken to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

No charges were filed.
