Vehicle hit pole, caused power outage in Bay Shore, cops say
A woman suffered minor injuries in a motor vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Bay Shore, Suffolk County police said.
Police said the crash happened shortly after 1 a.m.
The woman, whom police did not identify, was driving a 2007 Nissan Armada on Brentwood Road between New Jersey and 19th avenues when she swerved to avoid another vehicle and struck a utility pole, according to police.
Damage to the pole caused a power outage in the area for about an hour, police said.
Police said the woman was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment.
