Southern State Parkway crash: Westbound lanes reopened in Babylon after 5-vehicle crash
A five-vehicle crash that closed all westbound lanes off the Southern State Parkway between Exits 38 and 39 in Babylon Friday morning has been cleared, according to New York State Police said.
The crash occurred around 5:58 a.m. and lanes were shortly closed due to the position of one of the vehicles, said NYS Trooper Brittany Burton.
Six people were taken to hospitals for minor injuries, Burton said.
Police said the lanes reopened at 7:12 a.m.
