Wanted: Deadly shooting; theft at store
Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department's Homicide Squad are looking for information in connection with a slaying that took place in Hempstead.
According to police, at 4:45 a.m. on July 14, Blair M. Kearse was fatally shot and a second victim was shot and injured by one or more unidentified suspects in front of 44 Linden Place.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Precinct Crime Section officers are looking for a suspect in connection with a theft at a Central Islip store.
According to police, at 3 p.m. on March 17 a man took three sets of headphones from Target at 160 N. Research Place. The suspect is described as being about 5-foot-7 with a medium build. He was wearing a black hat, dark jacket, a multicolored striped shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
