Clarke, P, Fr.
Nearly lead Clarke to the county finals as an eighth-grader with her overpowering fastball. She’s now consistently throwing over 60 MPH and has improved her off-speed pitches.

JENA COZZA
MacArthur, SS, Sr.
The U-Mass bound shortstop, who hit .419 with five homers and 24 RBIs last season, can hit from either side of the plate out of the leadoff spot and is as sure-handed as they come in the field for the defending Long Island champs.

MICHELLE DEVITO
Bay Shore, P, Sr.
Returns as the Suffolk Large School pitcher of the year for good reason. Finished 19-1 with a 1.32 ERA, 157 strikeouts in 111 innings and batted .406 with only one strikeout in 69 at-bats.

Plainedge, 1B, Sr.
Nothing gets by the second-team All-Long Island first baseman. Her defensive ability, along with her run production, helped guide Plainedge to a county title.

The switch-hitting shortstop, who made second-team All-Long Island last season, will be a catalyst atop the lineup. Also has good range and a strong arm at short.

The curveball and screwball are two key pitching strengths. Helped lead the Wildcats to a 14-6 overall record and 13-6 League VI finish in the 2012 regular season.
