Babylon Village officials said they expect 40,000 visitors Sunday, Sept. 8, at the 40th annual Country Fair at Argyle Lake Park.

The fair, which runs from noon to 5 p.m., will have 250 vendors selling food and crafts. There will also be a children’s section with small rides.

The Babylon Beautification Society, which runs the fair, raises money for projects such as streetside planters and maintenance of the village clock. Last year’s fair netted $35,000, officials said.

The rain date is Sept. 15. Weather notices will be posted on villageofbabylonny.gov.
