Children of America Educational Childcare & Academy will open its first Long Island facility later this month in Setauket at 6 S. Jersey Ave.

The 10,000-square-foot facility, slated to open Aug. 25, will serve 180 children of all ages, from infants up to fifth grade.

Children of America provides state-of-the-art child care, educators there said. The facility is equipped with an Internet video surveillance program that allows parents to monitor their children and classroom activities throughout the day.

The for-profit school also has a registered dietitian on staff to advise parents through a nutrition blog, private nutrition consultations and on-campus nutritious meal plans.

Founded in 1999, Florida-based Children of America Educational Childcare & Academy is a leading provider of child care and after-school programs with schools in Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.
