A story Monday incorrectly characterized the reason that 63 Suffolk County beaches had been closed Sunday. One was closed because of bacteria levels and 62 were closed for the season.

Richard Rozakis has been appointed superintendent of the Babylon school district. The district was incorrect in Sunday's LI Life.
