Valley Stream Mayor Ed Fare has announced that the Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert Wednesday on the Village Green.

The event will be  at 8 p.m. at the band shell on Verona Place, north of the Valley Stream Long Island Rail Road train station. Attendees are asked to bring their own seating.

The program will include selections from Broadway musicals, television and movies, as well as a mixture of  light classical music.

Conductor Louis Panacciulli and vocalists Jack and Ann Cassin will perform at the event. Also joining the orchestra will be harmonica virtuoso Jia-Yi He, who will perform selections for which he has received world acclaim.
