Local historian Joan Harrison will conduct a walking tour of the city on Saturday.

The 11 a.m. tour by the author of  “Glen Cove Revisited: The Heart of the Gold Coast,” is sponsored by the Roslyn Landmark Society and is free for members and $5 for nonmembers.

The tour will discuss Glen Cove’s history from its founding in the late 17th century as a mill town, its settlement by immigrants of various ethnicities, and its days as the home of J.P. Morgan and other Gold Coast mansion-builders.
