Touro Law Center’s Disaster Relief Clinic has created an insurance checklist designed to help superstorm Sandy victims meet insurance deadlines.

The law center, in Central Islip, is advising Sandy victims who are owed flood insurance payouts to use the checklist, representatives said in a statement. Attorneys are able to help Sandy victims via the clinic’s hotline, representatives said.

“We’re open for business. We’re more than happy to take the calls,” said Therese Ebarb, an attorney and coordinator for the hotline.

The checklist includes simple information to help homeowners navigate deadlines in homeowner insurance policies, the law center said in a statement.

The checklist is available at www.tourolaw.edu/tlcheart. The hotline is 631-761-7198.
