Meet Long Island's salutatorians for 2014
The newest crop of high school graduates are about to earn their diplomas and, for many, the next step is higher education.
Newsday has put together a comprehensive gallery of Long Island's 2014 salutatorians, including information on where they're headed next.
Some are leaving the state altogether, going to highly rated schools such as Princeton or Boston University. Others are staying in the Empire State, but reaching for the stars at places like Binghamton University or Geneseo College.
Finally, some are staying on Long Island.
