Malverne actress Faith Wladyka in 'SNL' skit with Paul Rudd
Malverne fourth-grader Faith Wladyka doesn’t often get to stay up past 11:30 p.m., but last night was a special occasion. The 9-year-old actress got to watch a “Saturday Night Live” skit she did with guest host Paul Rudd.
In the skit, taped on Friday, Rudd plays the biggest fan of the boy band, One Direction, and challenges the OD trivia knowledge of a group of tween girls as they all wait outside a concert to meet Zayn, Niall, Harry Styles, Louis and Liam.
At one point, he’s seen braiding Wladyka’s hair and asks: “On the count of three, what was the name of Louie's first dog?” Before anyone can chime in, Rudd answers: “Ted!”
“You didn’t count,” Wladyka retorts.
Wladyka, best known for playing the daughter of characters played by Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams in the Oscar-nominated film “Blue Valentine,” was in a previous "SNL" skit with actress Tina Fey in 2011.
Wladyka said she’s a fan of the band, but not “coo-coo crazy” like Rudd’s character in the skit.
