Police have arrested three teenagers in connection with the death of a 34-year-old woman who was shot while shielding children from bullets outside a Brooklyn school.

Eighteen-year-old Andrew Lopez and 22-year-old Jonathan Carrasquillo, both of Brooklyn, were arrested Tuesday on charges of murder, felony assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. A third suspect was
arrested on charges of criminal possession of a weapon.

Information on their lawyers was not immediately available.

Police say Zurana Horton was killed as she hovered over students letting out of school Friday to protect them as the shots were fired. The mother of 13 was struck in the face and chest and pronounced dead at the scene.

An 11-year-old girl and a 31-year-old woman also were wounded.
