DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip — In a story published Nov. 2, 2023, about the Israel-Hamas war, The Associated Press reported an incorrect Palestinian injury toll, based on a statement from the Health Ministry in Gaza. At the time, it was more than 23,000, not over 32,000. The ministry later confirmed to the AP that the figure was erroneous, and that the correct figure was published the following day.
