A group of activists wants Papa Bear and his kin out of Chick-fil-A.

CREDO Action, Sum of Us and Faithful America will be delivering 80,000 petitions they collected Tuesday to the offices of Harper Collins, the publishers of the Berenstain Bears children books, that urge them to pull their kids meal deal with the fast food chain.

The restaurant has come under fire after its owner Dan Cathy said he was opposed to same-sex marriage and acknowledged donating money to groups that share his belief.

When Cathy gave his remarks last month, the Jim Henson Company pulled their "Muppets" toys from the chain's kids menu.

"The Muppets set a good example with breaking from Chick-fil-A," Taren Stinebrickner-Kauffman, the executive director of Sum of Us said. "The Berenstain Bears have always promoted diversity."

Harper-Collins did not return several messages for comment, however the Berenstain family, which has been writing the books since the '60s, urged readers who have concerns about the promotion to talk to the publisher.

The only Chick-fil-A location in the five boroughs is located in an NYU dining hall.

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn has asked the school to remove the chain from its campus, however, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said he is opposed to blocking Chick-fil-A just because of its owner's views.
