A truck driver from the Bronx is under arrest after he allegedly struck and killed a motorcyclist outside Philadelphia then fled the scene.

Authorities say Ernest Demetrius Cohens, 42, was trying to make a U-turn Thursday morning when he struck Terry Kriebel, 55, in Hatfield, Montgomery County.

Prosecutors say Cohens helped another motorist cover Kriebel’s body with a towel or sheet before driving away. Police found him with his disabled truck in neighboring Bucks County less than an hour later.

Authorities say Cohens’ driver’s license is suspended in New York.

Cohens is being held on $250,000 bail. It was not immediately clear if he
had an attorney.
