Giants' Jacobs gets death threat on Twitter
Giants running back Brandon Jacobs was on the receiving end of a death threat on Twitter.
Yesterday, the day after the Giants' victory over the Minnesota Vikings, Jacobs posted a screen grab of the offending messages, saying on his Twitter account, "Look at what we deal with."
The threatening Twitter posts came from a now-deactivated account @DMMeBoo, using the name Andre Rayner, before Monday's game.
"ON LIFE BRANDON IF YOU DONT RUSH FOR 50 YARDS AND 2 TOUCHDOWNS TONIGHT ITS OVER FOR YOU AND YO FAMILY," the threat said.
Rayner continued: "FULFILL MY ORDERS STATED IN THE PREVIOUS TWEET OR THATS YO LIFE BRUH AND IM NOT PLAYING."
The threat included a racial slur.
The user reportedly had a change of heart, apologizing to Jacobs, according to the Daily News. A Giants spokesman said NFL security is looking into the incident.
