Nick Jonas jonesing for judging spot on 'American Idol'
Another day, another "American Idol" judging rumor -- but this one seems likely to come true.
Nick Jonas has confirmed that he's in contention for a seat on the show's judging panel, vying to nab a spot alongside newbie judge Mariah Carey.
"The rumors are true," the youngest member of the Jonas Brothers tweeted over the weekend. "I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens. #nickonidol."
Earlier this year, Jonas, 19, starred in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" on Broadway.
Neither Jennifer Lopez nor Steven Tyler are returning to the Fox competition show's judging panel next season, and it's still unclear whether veteran judge Randy Jackson will make a comeback. Carey is the only confirmed judge as of now.
Big names including Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and former "Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert are also rumored to be in the running for a judging job.
