Poll: More than a third of taxi users enjoy their rides
New Yorkers are hailing taxis as a convenient - and sometimes even enjoyable form - of commuting in the city.
In a survey of 22,600 riders released Thursday by the Taxi & Limousine Commission, more than 65 percent of those polled said they use cabs at least once a week. In addition, more than a third of those surveyed consider the experience very good or excellent.
Here are other opinions riders gave:

- Can pay with credit cards (57.9 percent)
- Easy to hail when you need one (31.6 percent)
- Faster than subway/bus (30.4 percent)
Top three things riders dislike most about taxis:
- Too expensive (36.8 percent)
- Taxi TV is annoying (31.3 percent)
- Taxi is driving too aggressively (28.9 percent)
Top three reasons why people take cabs:
- It's late/I'm tired (63.1 percent)
- I'm in a hurry/trying to save time (55 percent)
- I've got luggage/I'm traveling (52.2 percent)
*Percentage does not add up to 100 because respondents could pick more than one option.
