62°Good afternoon

Howard Stern sidekick Robin Quivers revealed Monday that she has been broadcasting her part of their popular Sirius XM radio show from home because she has been battling an unusual cancer for more than a year.

At one time physicians thought they might have to remove her colon, due to endometrial tissue that had migrated outside her uterus and become cancerous, but that was avoided and she is now cured, she said on air yesterday. "About three months ago, I go into my doctor's office and she just looks at everything and goes, 'you're cured!'" Quivers, 59, recounted.

"Robin means more to me than anything and seeing her go through this just f------ tore me up," Stern said of Quivers, who worked as a nurse before becoming a broadcaster who earns $10 million a year, according to celebritynetworth.com. "The thought of losing you was unbearable. I'd get into tremendous crying jags," he added.

Quivers voice broke as she replied, "People don't understand how the people who love them save their lives."
